Using Jabber 11 for Mac, using our externally hosted Meeting Server, I am getting the following error message when I attempt to utilize the 'Meet Now' functionality: “Cisco WebEx Meeting Center” can’t be opened because the identity of the developer cannot be confirmed. Your security preferences allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified developers. Com.apple.WebKit.Plugin.64 downloaded this file on an unknown date. When I try to utilize the single instance exception (Open Anyway button), within System Preferences, it continues to fail show the above mentioned error. I would appreciate any all assistance.
Hello Chris, To resolve this issue, select the 'Anywhere' option on the 'Security & Privacy' page after you have attempted to start a WebEx using the 'Meet Now' functionality. Attempt starting using 'Meet Now' - you will be prompted with a dialogue confirming you would like to open the application. The WebEx should start. Before closing the 'Security & Privacy' page, change your setting back to 'Mac App Store and identified developers'.
Close the settings page. You should now be able to start a WebEx meeting using the 'Meet Now' functionality. Note: Option click on the Finder GO menu to see your user Library. Use Ctrl+Right Click to bring up the context menu and click on Open. From here, you can click on Open to create an exception for this application. You'll likely receive another message conveying how Meeting Center is launched automatically when you start or join a WebEx meeting. We only wanted to add the exception to Gatekeeper.
Now, whenever you attempt to launch WebEx from Jabber I am taken right into the appropriate meeting room.
Solved: Cisco Jabber For Mac Mac
Hello, We currently have one Mac user in our organization and when they try and search for contacts within Cisco Jabber 8.6.2 they receive no results. It seems the issue is they cannot connect to the Directory Server. From what I can gather they need to connect via port 3268 rather than 389.However, I cannot find where this setting needs to be changed. When looking at Account Preferences within Jabber on the Mac server settings are configured 'Automatically' and there is no way to change this to manual as all options are greyed out. When looking at the CUCM IM and Presence Administration page I have been through the LDAP settings and cannot see any options for changing what port is used to connect to the Directory Server.
